Ngoma district authorities are currently going from church to church surveying whether they have fitted all facilities required in the enforcement of anti Covid-19 measures.

Prayer houses had been shut down for about four months since the epidemic arrived on Rwandan territory. Communal gatherings including holding mass at churches and mosques had been suspended. The suspension was lifted last week.

Authorities in Ngoma district said Friday that churches without anti Covid-19 prevention facilities will not be allowed to convene with congregations.

A hand washing booth, sanitizers, liquid soap are supposed to be fitted outside the church of which all people arriving for mass would use. The congregation is as well mandated to observe social distancing.
