COVID-19: 41st death as 50 new cases found in Nyarugenge Prison #rwanda #RwOT
The man who died on Wednesday is an 88-year-old resident of Rwamagana District. It was the fifth Coronavirus death in just three days in the area.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Health, on November 11, 2020, 50 new cases came from 2860 sample tests taken that day, bringing the number of confirmed cases to 5312 while seven people have recovered bringing the number of recoveries to 4974.
Of the new cases the prison registered 27 new cases while tests in high risk zones resulted in 12 new cases in Rubavu district, 6 in Kirehe and 5 in Rwamagana.
Coronavirus symptoms include coughing, flu, and difficulty in breathing. The virus is said to be transmitted through the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract.
Rwandans are required to continue to comply with government regulations, especially with frequent washing of hands and water and soap, wearing masks when leaving home or in public.

Congolese Army Spokesperson Warns Against Calls For Revolt #rwanda #RwOT
General Léon Kasonga- the spokesperson for the Forces Armées de la République Démocratique du Congo (FARDC) has warned against elements that are trying to incite the army into revolting saying their wishes will not materialize.
'The authors of the calls for the revolt of the military must know that their hubbub will not pass,' he said on Thursday during a press conference held in the Capital Kinshasa, adding that the FARDC vehemently condemns the seditious campaign, concocted by backward-looking elements that have already been identified and which will soon be destroyed.
He said there is a campaign dedicated to the demoralization of the armed forces with the aim of pitting soldiers against each other.
General Léon Kasonga describes those behind such a campaign as cowards, driven only by the negation of the apolitical, republican and national values that underpin the armed forces.
'These thoughtless nonsense aims to destabilize the DRC, forgetting that, apolitical, national and republican, the FARDC forms an inseparable whole, an indissoluble jersey, a well-oiled body devoted to the stability and security of the Congo, 'said the spokesperson for the FARDC.
According to him the authors of the call for the revolt of the military via the social networks must know that their wishes will not pass.
'On the contrary, they should work to solidify and strengthen the links between valiant combatants of the armed forces, including military success, the setbacks inflicted on the outlaws in the East of the country and everywhere else, result from the combination of the combativeness of our soldiers with the judicious use of military equipment at the height of the 8th best army in Africa ', urged General Kasonga.

Rwanda Reports 27 New COVID-19 Cases In Capital City's Prison #rwanda #RwOT
Rwanda late Wednesday reported 27 new COVID-19 cases in the Nyarugenge Prison in Kigali, taking the daily count to 50, the highest in the past two months.
The other cases were found in Kirehe and Rwamagana districts in the Eastern Province and Rubavu district in the Western Province, said the daily update of the Health Ministry. The new cases brought the national tally to 5,312.
The total recoveries and deaths rose to 4,974 and 41 respectively, with seven new recoveries and one more death reported over the past 24 hours.
The outbreak in Kigali's prison came after Health Minister Daniel Ngamije on Monday revealed 13 cases in Rwamagana's prison.
At that time he said the government is going to tighten measures in places with high concentration of people, such as markets, parks and prisons, until a vaccine is introduced.
