Ngoma : un jeune homme succombe des coups de couteau de son amie #rwanda #RwOT
Il est rapporté que l’incident est survenu suite au fait que le jeune homme venu rendre visite à la fille aurait exigé qu’ils fassent des rapports sexuels. Devant le refus de la jeune fille, il l’aurait menacé au coûteau. La fille était-elle armée d’un autre coûteau ou elle l’aurait pris de son soupirant ?
Le garçon a été blessé au ventre au point que les viscères sont sorties au moment où il était dépêché à l’hôpital de Kibungo où il est trépassé. La fille avait reçu entretemps des coups à la nuque.
Il est rapporté que la journée s’annonçait conviviale pour ce jeune couple jusqu’au moment où le décédé a recouru à la violence devant le refus de la jeune fille de se plier à ses désirs coupables.
“Ils avaient des relations d’amitié. Cela était connu dans le quartier”, a dit la Secrétaire Exécutive de Secteur Kibungo.IGIHE

Gyms, swimming pools closed #rwanda #RwOT
The decision is part of cabinet resolutions taken yesterday, reviewing COVID-19 preventive measures following the gradual increase in new infections.
'All gyms and swimming pools are closed. However, those at hotels may be used only by tested hotel residents,' reads the resolution.
The decision goes into effect from 15th December 2020.
Among others, the national football premier league games and training camps are suspended except for national football team competitions and clubs involved in international competitions.
Like other wellness facilities and a number of activities, the functioning of gyms was suspended on 15th March 2020 one day after confirming the first COVID-19 case in Rwanda.
On 8th June 2020, the Ministry of Sports gradually allowed different sporting activities to resume staring with cycling, Tennis, Gold, Hiking and other physical exercises respecting social distancing.
Other sports were allowed to resume on 13th July 2020. These include Cricket, Boxing, Karate, Kung Fu, Taekwondo, Judo, Skating, Kumasha, Badminton, Aerobic, Gymnastics in open air and adhering to COVID-19 health guidelines.
Concerts were also suspended on 8th March 2020 thus artists opted for online concerts to entertain fans.
Among others, cabinet banned all social gatherings including weddings in public and private settings.
The new measures have been announced following the surging of COVID-19 new cases where over 700 people tested positive within 14 days as 6 succumbed to the virus in the same period.
The first COVID-19 case was confirmed in Rwanda on 14th March 2020. So far 6747 people have been tested positive out of 671,223 sample tests of whom 5996 have recovered, 695 are active cases while 56 have succumbed to the virus.
Gyms have been prohibited, two weeks after authorization to resume operations.IGIHE

CIMERWA PLC, un demi million de tonnes de ciment produit, 1.9 milliards de profit net pour 2019 #rwanda #RwOT
Ces statistiques ont été publiés ce 14 décembre 2020 au moment où l’Usine dressait un rapport de ses états financiers de 9 mois de l’année budgétaire de l’année passée.
Cette bonne santé économique de CIMERWA PLC attire les éventuels investisseurs qui serasient soucieux d’acquérir ses actions sur le Rwanda Stockl Exchange où elle est listée.
Il est une heureuse surprise de voir cette usine enregistrer un bon profit annuel au moment où elle a été impactée par les conséquences du Covid 19 en mars et avril dernier où elle a fermé ses portes pour obéir au confinement général imposé, a dit Albert Segei, Directeur Général de la CIMERWA qui a eu du mal , par la suite, à s’approvisionner en matières premières importées pour la fabrication de ses produits.
En général, CIMERWA a produit 421.000 T de Ciment cette année-là avec une haute note en juillet 2020 où elle a produit 55,000 T de ciment, le meilleur score depuis qu’elle est fonctionnelle.
Avec la restucturation et la rénovation de l’entreprise au cours du 1er trimestre de cette année, la production de la CIMERWA a continué à s’améliorer de trimestre à trimestre au cours de cette année, a indiqué Segei satisfait de voir qu’elle tourne à hauteur de 80% de sa capacité de 600.000 tones par an.
Segei se félicite de voir que son usine a fourni tout le ciment nécessaire aux projets de construction de l’Etat rwandais dont les routes, les centres de santé et hôpitaux mais aussi les quelques 22.000 salles de classes. “Nous avons approvisionné ces projets de construction de l’Etat pour quelques 8 mille tonnes de ciments”, a confié le DG.
