Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) met in its Ordinary General Assembly on 17/10/2020 at Dove Hotel in Gasabo District.

The FERWAFA Secretary General proceeded to call the roll in English alphabetical order. All 55 members of FERWAFA were present.

The President opened the Ordinary General Assembly that would normally have taken place in May but for unprecedented times we are facing with this Covid-19 pandemic, he thanked the members for their commitment in attending this meeting during this challenging time our country is fighting Covid-19. This situation affected our competitions in all categories, it was only possible to hold the General Assembly today. He thanked FIFA, CAF for their Covid-19 Financial Support, UAP for their food donation for the Members of the Federation and wished everyone a successful meeting.

Below are the resolutions of the General Assembly:

1. Member associations of Rugende WFC, Mukura VS & L and VISION FC were approved to control the minutes of the General Assembly.

2. After reviewing the minutes of the preceding Ordinary General Assembly of May 2019 and the Extraordinary General Assembly of December 2019. The General Assembly adopted both minutes with a unanimous vote.

3. The General Secretary presented the Activity report which covered activities done by FERWAFA from May 2019 to August 2020 in technical development, Competitions, Marketing and communications as well refereeing. A video presenting the highlights of 2019-2020 activities was shown. The presented FERWAFA activity report was approved by a unanimous vote.

4. After the presentation of the audited financial statements for the financial year 2019 by GPO Partners Rwanda Ltd, a professional audited firm and FERWAFA Audit Committee, the General Assembly members approved by a unanimous vote the consolidated and revised balance-sheet as well as the profit and loss statement for the financial year 2019.

5. After the presentation of the audited financial statements by GPO Partners Rwanda Ltd and FERWAFA Audit Committee, the General Assembly members approved the audited financial management for the financial year 2019 by a unanimous vote.

6. The President informed the General Assembly that one woman and two men Associations namely: Scandinavia Women Football Club, The Winners Football Training Centre and Nyanza Football requested membership of FERWAFA.
The General Assembly Members approved the admission of the three associations by a unanimous vote.

7. The General Assembly decided by a unanimous vote to have the proposals for the amendment to the statutes and the internal regulations approved in the Extraordinary General Assembly of December 2020.

8. The President informed the General Assembly on the proposals brought by the Executive Committee which include the following:

A. FERWAFA President informed the General Assembly members about the upcoming partnership agreement and sponsorship with RBA and Bralirwa Plc respectively. Signing with Bralirwa should take into consideration existing sponsorship contracts of the same nature between clubs and brewery companies.

B. Legal Commissioner and President of the Appeal Commission exposed the decision of the Appeal Commission concerning Nyagatare FC Women and Nyagatare FC/Women Ltd.

C. The President informed the General Assembly members about the decision of the FERWAFA Executive Committee to relegate Gicumbi FC and Heroes FC. He further mentioned that since the decision was taken in accordance with FERWAFA rules and regulations, the decision taken remains unchanged.

9. The General Assembly approved the proposal brought down by the Executive Committee to replace Refereeing Commissioner GASINGWA Michel who resigned by RURANGIRWA Aaron.

All above proposals brought up by the members of the executive committee were approved by the General Assembly with a unanimous vote.
